Electrical/ Mechanical Assembler

Pressco Technology Inc designs, develops and markets ultra high-speed sensing and process monitoring products for the global container manufacturing industry.

We are currently seeking a candidate for the position of ELECTRICAL / MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and basic wiring of vision inspection systems. Duties will vary widely. The successful candidate will use their diverse electrical/mechanical skills in a variety of ways.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

  1. Assembly of new and existing assemblies, sub-assemblies and complete systems.
  2. Build and test all assemblies and systems using established specifications and procedures.
  3. Initial power-up and pre-test of complete inspection systems.
  4. Evaluate and correct any concerns regarding system operation utilizing Engineering and/or QC resources for assistance.
  5. Verify system final bill of material. Complete system pre-test checklist. Send all required documentation to Final Inspection and Testing with system.
  6. Inspect and calibrate all applicable cameras.
  7. Ensure safe and organized work center, work practices, and tools.
  8. Assist in the day-to-day operations utilizing ERP system, forms, and procedures for all transactions.
  9. Maintain serial number records of completed jobs. Post required job order information on Shopshare.
  10. Use cross training schedule to stay current on cross training requirements.
  11. Daily QC checks of completed assemblies. Note discrepancies on Quality Improvement sheet.
  12. Other job related duties as assigned.
Equipment Used:
  1. Measuring tools, hand tools, power tools, etc.
  2. Terminals, PC’s, printers and test fixtures.
  3. All Pressco Inspection systems.
  4. Soldering/de-soldering tools, flux, mask, and wick.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Two years technical education in electrical/electronics or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. Two years “hands on” experience in assembling/testing of electro-mechanical hardware.
  3. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and assembly drawings and schematics.
  4. One year experience in system assembly, system set-up and/or initial debug.
  5. One year “hands on” experience in an assembly environment.
  6. Good communication skills: Interpersonal, written and verbal.
  7. Ability to utilize a PC as needed.
