With reference to the EC directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS), the position of Pressco Technology Inc. is as follows:

The RoHS directive specifically excludes all products that fall into category 9 - Monitoring and Control Instrumentation - as listed in Appendix 1A of the WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC. In spite of this exclusion, it is Pressco's intent to incorporate the principles of the directive in all future systems and products. Additionally, we will continue our efforts to fully analyze our products and processes to determine the use of substances subject to restriction per the EC Directive, and to test and validate alternative RoHS-compliant solutions.

To this end, we have updated our ERP records to track RoHS-compliant components and are working closely with our suppliers to transition existing parts to meet the new standards. We are not, however, attempting to meet the July 2006 deadline that consumer electronic suppliers are required to meet.
