INTELLISPEC™ FOCAL POINT from Pressco Technology is a modular vision inspection platform designed for food cans, food ends, beverage shells, and related closure applications. Built on Pressco’s proven INTELLISPEC inspection software, FOCAL POINT combines reliable inspection performance with a compact architecture, simplified integration, and a future-ready processing platform.
FOCAL POINT uses advanced machine vision technology, high-resolution cameras, and specialized lighting to inspect packaging components in real time during production. The system detects defects before they move downstream, helping manufacturers improve quality control, reduce waste, and minimize costly production issues. Flexible configurations support 1–3 cameras in standard systems, with expanded versions supporting additional inspection capabilities and dual snap imaging.
The platform supports a wide range of metal packaging applications, including:
- 2-piece aluminum food cans
- 3-piece steel food cans
- Food ends and easy-open ends
- Beverage shells and converted ends
- Lugged closures, caps, and crowns

FOCAL POINT is designed to identify critical defects such as dents, surface imperfections, compound voids, liner defects, coating inconsistencies, and lightweighting-related issues. The system can also support defect correlation and traceability to help manufacturers isolate recurring production problems faster.
